Performed DBA tasks including monitoring backups, applying patches, exporting and importing data in between multiple instances, creating database links, users, maintaining rollback segments, adding tablespace & datafiles, performing backups and cleaning trace files. Also assisted in installation of Oracle Application Server for development on NT machine and involved in production management. Apart from that also involved in transferring data from NON-SAP to SAP system and independently handled the entire process.

Project Description:
HRD discharged the duties as an Oracle DBA on Unix Operating System (Sun Solaris &HP) for various applications like Espresso2.0, NGTVS and Common Reporting. Responsibilities included but not limited to the maintenance of existing databases, regular backups & recovery, identifying sizing and performance problems, taking necessary steps to improve performance, reducing down time of database and planning for migration of existing databases to Oracle8.
HRD has a specialized business practice focused on the analysis of financial systems, their design, development and implementation within the federal government, as well as commercial markets. This financial system development work is primarily focused on client/server and web based applications using Oracle Apps, Oracle Internet Development Tools, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Database Administration and other Oracle products.
